This course engages students in the study of the operations management function in manufacturing and service organizations. Students learn how to apply the basic analytical models to operations decisions involving topics such as operations strategy, product and service design, process selection and strategy, facilities layout, location planning, production technology, aggregate planning, inventory management, quality assurance, lean and just-in-time production, supply chain management, and project management.
Prerequisite: Econ 207 and admission to the College of Business
