Marilyn L. Fox is a Professor of Management and Co-Director of the MBA Program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is also the Director of AACSB Accreditation, and was the Interim Dean of the College of Business in 2001-2002, and is a past Chair of the Department of Management. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and an MBA from Drury College in Springfield, Missouri. Her areas of expertise include Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management and she teaches graduate and undergraduate classes in these areas. Over the years she has been recognized as an excellent teacher with many nominations and awards for outstanding teaching. Nominated by students, she appears in the October, 2000 edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Prior to a career in academics, Dr. Fox worked for Kraft General Foods for 14 years in the areas of Quality Control and Assurance, and as a plant supervisor in Cost Accounting. As a result, she brings many years of experience to the classroom. Dr. Fox is a nationally recognized author and scholar and is best known for her research and publications in the area of occupational stress and health, work-family conflict, and the effect that various aspects of personality has on individual’s attitudes and behavior. Her research appears in some of the best journals known world-wide. She has published in such journals as the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Applied Social Psychology, the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology and many others. Additionally, she has co-authored various supplements to textbooks written by top authors in the field of Organizational Behavior and consistently presents papers at the National and Midwest Division of the Academy of Management, and the National Decision Sciences Institute. Dr. Fox has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Management, and currently serves on the board of Leadership and Organizational Studies Journal. She is a past president of the Midwest Academy of Management.
